Brand Slogan

Brand Slogan is a solo project by Multi-Instrumentalist Damon Kardon (The Moats / Gypsy Trail / E & Special Tea). It is a musical project heavily influenced by the music Damon grew up listening to (Alt-Metal, Emo, Shoegaze, Progressive Rock) and the bands who pioneered the sound (Deftones, Sunny Day Real Estate, Failure, Hum, Dinosaur Jr.). Damon started writing and recording for Brand Slogan (formerly named “Warstead”) in 2018 and continues to write and produce new music in his home studio. The 4-song EP for Brand Slogan (featuring a cover of The Alan Parsons Project’s “Eye in the Sky”) was released in January, 2023. The debut, full Brand Slogan LP titled “Silence” was released on April 21st, 2023. Both albums are available to stream/download on all sites (Spotify/ Apple Music/ Amazon Music/ YouTube/ etc.). A new sound emerged with the EP “Variants” (released Fall 2023), combining sonic elements of Shoegaze, New Wave and Alt-Metal. Two Singles- “Variant” and ‘Controls” (and their subsequent music videos) were on heavy rotation on all streaming sites and rock radio. Brand Slogan released an EP titled “iN tHE mOUTH oF mADNESS” in Spring of 2024. It continued sonically where “Variants” left off but explored new ground in blurring the line between Metal and Post-Punk and addresses even deeper thematic elements. A unique cover of Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For?” was released by Brand Slogan on all streaming platforms on 1/9/24 and a music video. Currently, Brand Slogan is working on a new album titled “Self-Image”, due for Fall of 2025. Two Singles “Solvent” and “Snake Oil” were released in the Fall of 2024 with music videos. Brand Slogan released a video for The Cure’s “Burn” (from The Crow Soundtrack) as a live recording cover song. Two new singles are being released on 5/2/25; “Omission” and “Johnny Ringo” with new music videos on YouTube. This will be the first full album since 2023’s “Silence” and is deep in the “Grungegaze” sound and is already becoming a collection of the Heaviest Songs that Brand Slogan has ever released.
